Job Advert
Chief People Officer
London | Hybrid
We’re supporting a privately owned, international business on the appointment of a senior people leader to join its leadership team.
This is a broad, high-impact role with responsibility for the full people agenda across a multi-country organisation.
The role
Reporting into the CEO, you’ll operate as the most senior people leader in the business, working closely with the leadership team to support organisational effectiveness and performance.
The scope is wide, covering:
-
People strategy and organisational design
-
Executive support and advisory
-
Global policy and compliance
-
Employee relations and complex case management
-
Leadership capability and succession planning
-
Oversight of HR operations across multiple jurisdictions
This is a role for someone who can operate at a strategic level while remaining close enough to delivery to ensure things are executed well.
The environment
The business is established, privately owned, and operates with a high level of leadership engagement.
Decision-making is centralised, and relationships and judgement are key to how the organisation operates.
This is not a highly structured, corporate environment. The person coming into this role will need to be comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity, building trust with stakeholders, and navigating how decisions are best progressed.
Success in the role will come from:
-
Building credibility with senior stakeholders
-
Understanding how to influence effectively
-
Judging where to drive change and where to work within existing approaches
What they’re looking for
We’re looking for a senior, credible people leader who is comfortable operating at executive level in a complex organisation.
You’ll likely bring:
-
Board or executive-level experience
-
A track record of operating across multiple geographies
-
Strong judgement and the ability to navigate ambiguity
-
The confidence to operate independently, without requiring significant direction
-
A pragmatic, commercially grounded approach
You will be comfortable:
-
Working in an environment where influence matters more than hierarchy
-
Supporting the business without needing to lead large-scale transformation
-
Balancing long-term thinking with day-to-day operational realities
Backgrounds may include larger corporates, international businesses, or similarly complex environments.
The offer
-
Competitive executive-level salary and package
-
Bonus and long-term incentive opportunity
-
Hybrid working, London-based
Why this role
This is an opportunity to take on a genuinely senior role with broad scope across an international business, working closely with leadership and contributing to the ongoing development of the organisation.
