Millenium Site Services is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our internal engineering team at our Head Office on Haydock Road, Derby.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to join Millenium directly, carrying out mechanical fitting work within the rail industry.
The Role:
- Mechanical fitting, assembly, and installation of components on rail vehicles/sub-assemblies
- Working from engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions
- Fault-finding, adjustment, and rectification of mechanical systems
- Use of hand tools, power tools, and torque wrenches to specified tolerances
- Completing quality documentation and sign-off records accurately
- Working to strict health & safety and quality standards throughout
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally within rail, automotive, aerospace, or a similarly regulated engineering environment
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Mechanical/Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or similar) desirable
- Own hand tools
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality and compliance
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work well as part of a team
Hours & Pay:
- Full-time, permanent
- Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30
- £36,250 per annum
