We're recruiting Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEMH setting in Brighton, supporting pupils who have experienced barriers to education. You'll work alongside experienced teachers and a supportive team to help students re-engage with learning, develop confidence and celebrate the small wins that make a huge difference.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people (school experience is helpful but not essential)
- Has previous SEND experience, ideally working with challenging behaviour
- Can build positive relationships and remain calm under pressure
- Is resilient, patient and genuinely wants to make a difference
- Works well as part of a team
- Has a positive outlook and a desire to get involved every day
The role includes:
- Supporting pupils in class and during interventions
- Helping students engage with learning and regulate emotions
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour
