Job Overview

Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications.
- Oversee food safety standards, ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations at all times.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to minimise waste.
- Develop new recipes and menu items in collaboration with management.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment.
- Ensure timely delivery of dishes to meet customer expectations.
- Assist with serving customers when necessary, providing excellent hospitality.
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Extensive background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
- Experience managing a team, with effective communication and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service excellence.
