Salary: £50,000 per annum
Tramping Allowance: £50 per night
OTE: Up to £62,000 per annum

The Role
We are looking for a professional and reliable HGV Driver / Secure Destruction Operator to join our growing team.
This is a varied dual-role position where you will drive our specialist destruction vehicles to customer sites across the UK and Europe, operating onboard industrial shredding equipment to securely destroy hard drives and other digital media onsite.
This is a customer-facing role requiring professionalism in delivering an exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive specialist HGV vehicles throughout the UK and Europe.
- Operate onboard secure shredding equipment to destroy hard drives and digital media.
- Carry out secure destruction at customer premises.
- Load and unload materials safely (occasional manual handling required).
- Complete vehicle safety checks and daily inspections.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and compliance records.
- Keep vehicles clean, presentable and roadworthy.
- Deliver outstanding customer service at every site.
- Represent Shredall professionally while wearing company uniform.
- Work in accordance with all driver hours, Working Time Directive and health & safety regulations.
What We're Looking For
The successful applicant will have:
- A valid UK HGV class 1 driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- A clean driving record with a minimum of 2 years HGV driving experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A professional, polite and friendly manner.
- Flexibility to travel extensively throughout the UK and Europe.
- Willingness to stay away overnight in the vehicle, with occasional weekend working where operationally required.
- Experience driving internationally (preferred).
- Good understanding of European road transport regulations.
- Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to deal calmly with unexpected situations.
- Pride in maintaining high standards of vehicle presentation and personal appearance.
- The ability to obtain the appropriate government security clearance where required.

Working Hours
This role operates within UK and EU Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
Typical working patterns include 5–6 days on the road during busy periods, with overnight stays and sufficient rest periods to remain compliant with legislation.
Driver hours include:
- Maximum 9 hours driving per day (extendable to 10 hours twice per week).
- Maximum 56 hours driving in one week.
- Maximum 90 hours driving over any two consecutive weeks.
Working time regulations include:
- Maximum 60 working hours in any single week.
- Average working week of 48 hours over the applicable reference period.
Flexibility is essential, as start times, finish times and overnight stays will vary depending on customer requirements and travel schedules.
You will be required to undertake full security screening and DBS checks.
