We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused Customer Service Assistant to join our team for the busy summer season.
About the Role
As a Customer Service Assistant, you will play an important part in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our visitors. Your duties will include:
- Working on the Platform and in the Ticket Office, greeting customers and checking them in for their journeys.
- Responding to customer enquiries in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner.
- Covering shifts in the Gift Shop, welcoming customers, processing purchases, and handling cash and card transactions accurately.
- Working closely with colleagues across the railway to deliver excellent customer service at all times.
- Carrying out general housekeeping duties to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
- Working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Helping to maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive atmosphere for visitors.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- A friendly and approachable manner with a genuine passion for customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, hands-on attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
- The ability to work effectively in a busy visitor attraction environment.
- Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends on a rota basis.
The Details
- Daytime hours only – no evening shifts.
- Seasonal contract running until the end of September.
- Pay: National Minimum Wage.
