POST: Employment Advisor
HOURS: 16 hours per week (2 days per week)

SALARY: £30,000 FTE (£12,000 actual for 2 days per week)
Contract: Fixed-term for 6 months

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Employment Adviser to deliver a structured Graduate Employment Programme designed to support individuals into sustained job outcomes. This role is central to the successful delivery of an exciting six-month pilot project, supporting up to 20 participants through a tailored journey that combines group learning, personalised guidance, and direct employer engagement. The programme is outcomes-focused, aiming to achieve high completion rates and a minimum of 12 sustained employment outcomes.
As an Employment Adviser, you will provide a structured intervention of up to 12 weeks per participant, ensuring consistent engagement of at least 6 hours per week. You will deliver a blended model of support, including face-to-face workshops, one-to-one coaching, supervised job search, and in-work mentoring. You will play a key role in building confidence, developing employability skills, and supporting customers to secure and sustain meaningful employment.
Delivery will take place primarily face-to-face within close proximity to Kentish Town Jobcentre Plus. You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality customer engagement, developing individual action plans, and working closely with employers to identify opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide information, advice and guidance to customers (jobseekers)
- Deliver support to develop the employability skills of customers, such as developing CVs, providing supported job search and helping in preparing for job interviews
- Manage a caseload of customers to ensure an effective level of activity is undertaken to progress into a positive outcome
- Inspire and motivate customers to achieve their goals
- Adhere to contractual customer service compliance standards to ensure all customers are receiving a consistent service
- Identify and recommend suitable job vacancies and training opportunities
- Identify customer barriers and provide advice and guidance
- Ensure Company compliance measures are met
- Maintain accurate records for each customer
- Achieve required performance expectations
- Liaise with employers directly to identify any employment opportunities
- Work closely with stakeholders in the area to identify new opportunities

Education, Qualification and Training
Essential
- Good standard of education with GCSE to grade C or equivalent minimum in English and Maths
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) appropriate to the level and scope of the role
