Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, managing stock, and supporting shipping and receiving operations within our warehouse environment. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are advantageous, along with familiarity with warehouse management systems and forklift operation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in logistics and inventory management while contributing to the smooth operation of our facility.
Responsibilities
- Handling materials safely and efficiently, including loading, unloading, and moving stock throughout the warehouse
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment in accordance with safety procedures
- Managing stock levels through accurate picking, packing, and stocking of products
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Maintaining organisation within the warehouse using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Performing mechanical tasks related to equipment maintenance or troubleshooting as required
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times during daily operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is preferred
- Knowledge of materials handling, picking & packing, and stock management processes
- Experience operating forklifts; valid certification is advantageous
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
- Mechanical aptitude or knowledge is a plus for equipment maintenance tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to handle long periods of standing, lifting, and manual handling tasks
