RS Bike Paint Ltd is the world's leading supplier of paint to the motorcycle after sales market. We are very proud to be the preferred provider for many major brands including Harley-Davidson, Triumph, Kawasaki, BSA, Royal Alloy and others.
A second-generation family business, based at Works Road in Letchworth, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our small team. Our office is open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm, and we are looking initially for a part time individual, for around 20 hours per week. There would be flexibility on the exact number of hours and days/time of working for the right candidate. More hours may be available going forward. The salary range is between £26,000 - £29,000 pro-rata, depending on experience.
The role helps keep day-to-day operations run smoothly by assisting customers, liaising with the production team, suppliers and delivery couriers. In addition to dealing with customer enquiries and fulfilling routine administrative duties, the successful candidate will also have the flexibility and capability to help with project work. We are looking for an ambitious individual, unafraid to roll their sleeves up with our fantastic team, who is keen to learn and grow as our business grows.
Key aspects of the role
- Answering customer emails and calls, delivering excellent customer service
- Provide customers with information, quotations, follow up failed internet orders and process new orders
- Monitor customer deliveries and resolve any issues rapidly
- Manage our customer contact database
- Assist with processing supplier invoices, with any eye for detail to identify price anomalies
- Provide general administrative support to team members and the Directors
Skills/Experience
- Friendly and approachable personality to build a positive working relationship with the wider team
- Confident communication skills both written and verbal
- Able to work under own initiative with an organised approach to work, able to multitask and prioritise workload
- Careful and accurate with their work, who takes pride in doing things properly
- Good at spotting problems and finding solutions
- Confident using computers, online systems eg MS Office and Google Suite
- Comfortable working with data and Excel with high standards of accuracy
- Experience of basic bookkeeping duties would be helpful.
- Previous experience within an office role. Full training will be given, but a good work ethic, willingness to learn and a 'can do' attitude are essential.
