Looking for a part-time job with a friendly local team, close to the bus and easy to get to? We'd love to hear from you.
We're a busy neighbourhood Premier convenience store and we're hiring a part-time Store Assistant to help us keep the shop running, stocked and looking great. It's a fun, fast-moving, people-facing role — no two shifts are quite the same, and you'll get to know plenty of regulars along the way.
What you'll be doing
- Stocking shelves and chillers, facing up, and rotating stock by date (FIFO) so the shop always looks full and fresh, a big part of the job
- Serving customers on the till, card machine and PayPoint
- Checking ID for age restricted products (we'll show you how — Challenge 25)
- Helping with deliveries and stock movement
- Keeping the shop clean, tidy and welcoming
What we're looking for
- A reliable, punctual person who shows up on time and gets stuck in
- Friendly and easy to chat to with customers
- Happy working as part of a small team
- Honest and trustworthy
- 18 or over
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Application question(s):
- Are you available to start at 7:30am on Mondays when required?
- Are you 18 or over? (Required, as this role involves the sale of alcohol and tobacco.)
- This role involves stocking shelves, lifting and moving deliveries, and being on your feet for most of the shift. Are you able to carry out this kind of physical work?
- Do you have at least 6 months of experience working in a shop, convenience store, or supermarket (e.g. Premier, Nisa, One Stop, Costcutter, Tesco, Asda or similar)?
Work Location: In person
