Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Receptionist to join our friendly dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while managing front desk operations. Duties
- Providing high-quality patient care, including assisting dentists during procedures and ensuring patient comfort
- Managing appointment scheduling, patient records, and administrative tasks efficiently using IT systems
- Greeting patients warmly, answering queries, and guiding them through treatment plans
- Handling telephone enquiries professionally and coordinating appointments to optimise clinic flow
- Maintaining clinical cleanliness and adhering to health and safety protocols
- Supporting the dental team with sterilisation of instruments and other clinical duties as required
- Organising patient files and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Assisting with billing, payments, and insurance processing as necessary
- Leading the reception team to ensure seamless communication between patients and dental professionals
Skills
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting ( MINIMUM 1 year dental reception/assistant experience required)
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Good IT literacy, including experience with dental practice management software and Microsoft Office tools
- Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities as Lead Receptionist
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues alike
