About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Playcarer to join the Crazy Capers team at Bushes Primary School. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional to be part of our out-of-school care provision and help us build a dynamic, engaging environment for our children.

Starting at £14 per hour depending on expereince
Annual Leave
28 days (including public holidays and Christmas closure)

Bushes Primary School, Grampian Avenue, Glenburn, Paisley PA2 8DW
Working Pattern
Term Time (Monday to Friday):
- Breakfast Club: 07:30 - 09:00
- After School Care: 15:00 - 18:00
- Admin Work: up to 12.5 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
School Holidays & In-Service Days:
- Longer shift pattern but flexible
About Us
Crazy Capers Bushes Primary School is a registered out-of-school care service registered for 44 children. We are committed to providing high-quality, safe, and engaging activities that support each child's development and wellbeing. We are currently building a strong team culture with a fresh 'back to basics' approach, introducing new systems and processes to enhance our service.
We are expanding our team and aiming to increase occupancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise children during breakfast club and after-school care sessions
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that support child development and wellbeing
- Contribute to activity planning and service development
- Support the implementation of the keyworker system and care plans
- Oversee staff and coordinate team scheduling
- Assist with organising trips and events, particularly during school holidays
- Promote the service through social media and parent engagement
- Support staff induction and training following our established procedures
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in childcare or out-of-school settings
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Looking to expand skills and open to new challenges
- A genuine passion for working with children and creating positive experiences
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to adapt to changing needs
- Relevant qualifications in childcare (e.g., Level 3 Childcare & Education)
- Commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing of all children. All appointments are subject to satisfactory references and PVG checks. SSSC registration required.
