Are you a recent graduate looking to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into teaching, educational psychology, youth work or another career working with young people?
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming school environment in the NG7 area of Nottingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who is passionate about supporting young people and wants to develop practical experience within education.
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teaching staff to support students with their learning and development.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting teachers during lessons.
- Working one-to-one and with small groups of students.
- Helping students stay engaged and motivated with their learning.
- Providing additional support to students who may need extra guidance.
- Supporting pupils with SEND where required.
- Helping create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Building positive relationships with students.
- Assisting with classroom activities and learning resources.
- Encouraging students to develop confidence and independence.

- Patient and able to adapt their approach to different students.
- Organised and reliable.
- Good communicators who can build positive relationships.
- Keen to learn from experienced teachers.
A degree in Psychology, Education, English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Sports, Social Sciences or a related subject would be particularly relevant, although graduates from other disciplines are encouraged to apply.
Previous experience with children or young people is desirable but not essential. Experience through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, childcare, volunteering or youth work would be beneficial.
