Your Role As our Casual Commis Chef, you’ll support the kitchen team across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service as needed. You’ll be:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a high standard under the guidance of senior chefs
- Assisting with mise en place and basic food preparation
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen at all times
- Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Assisting with stock rotation and minimising food waste
- Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver smooth service
Hours: Casual, on-call shifts covering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and event services, including evenings and weekends as required.
What We’re Looking For: You don’t need Michelin stars, just passion for good food and a willingness to learn. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Some kitchen experience (preferred but not essential – full training given)
- Flexibility and reliability to cover shifts at short notice
- Attention to detail and a commitment to consistency
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure
- A positive attitude and a team spirit
