V-Recruit are currently working alongside a reputable and longstanding West Yorkshire based Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance contractor, who specialise in restoring and improving the natural landscape, to recruit an experienced Vegetation Supervisor.
Our client undertakes all aspects of commercial and domestic landscaping and grounds maintenance across the UK, including hard and soft landscaping, tree surgery, grounds maintenance and fence erecting. Working on commercial contracts, brown field sites, local authority jobs, and heavy clearance sites.
Your duties would include working on site on the tools, whilst managing a team of one to two Operatives. Working on commercial contracts, brown field sites, local authority jobs, and heavy clearance sites.
This is a permanent position, £27,253.06 - £32,703.67 depending on experience
Approx working hours, 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday, flexibility will be required plus occasional Saturdays
You will regularly required to work away Monday – Friday
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and lead vegetation teams on site
· Enforce health & safety procedures, including site inspections and toolbox talks
· Ensure safe operation and maintenance of plant, tools, and equipment
· Plan daily tasks in line with schedules and drawings
· Ensure all work meets contract specifications, drawings, and quality standards
· Monitor productivity and ensure efficient use of labour, materials, and machinery to complete works within budget
· Liaise with and report to site and contract managers
· Complete site documentation including daily reports, timesheets, and RAMS adjustments if required on site
It is essential that the right candidates will have their CSCS, SSSTS, 1st Aid at Work and a full UK driving licence with less than six points as you will be required to drive a company vehicle. And have a minimum of 2 years previous relevant experience.
We are looking for someone with extensive previous vegetation maintenance experience. PA Spraying Licences, or any other Landscaping-specific qualifications would be advantageous.
This is a hands-on leadership role and the successful candidate will have previous proven experience working as a supervisor or team leader, with a minimum of 2 years working within a similar role.
