NHB Smoke Control Ltd is a specialist smoke control contractor delivering high-quality smoke ventilation systems across London and the South East. We work with some of the UK’s leading main contractors on large residential, commercial and high-rise developments.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for reliable and motivated Electrical Improvers to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop their electrical skills within a specialist industry and build a long-term career. You will work alongside experienced Supervisors and Engineers, learning every aspect of smoke control installations.
The Role
Working as part of a professional installation team, your duties will include:
- Installing FP200 and FP600 fire-rated cabling.
- Installing cable containment, tray, basket and conduit.
- Glanding and terminating fire-rated cables.
- Assisting with the installation of smoke dampers, AOV systems and control panels.
- Reading drawings and following installation specifications.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Working to a high standard of workmanship at all times.
- Supporting Supervisors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and to the highest quality.
Essential Requirements
- ECS Card.
- Basic electrical installation experience.
- Good work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Able to work well within a team.
- Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.
Desirable
- Experience working on commercial or residential construction sites.
- Experience with fire alarm, smoke control or life safety systems.
- IPAF.
- PASMA.
