Freelance Digital Projects & Performance Marketing Specialist
Freelance | Remote | Cornwall | Food & Drink Agency
JamFirst is looking for a freelance Digital Projects & Performance Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. *The person will need to be able to travel to our Launceston office once a week
We’re a specialist acquisition agency working exclusively with UK food & drink brands, helping them grow through paid acquisition, funnels, websites and revenue-focused digital marketing.
We’re not looking for someone who simply knows how to post on social media or “run some ads”.
We’re looking for someone who understands the whole digital acquisition journey — from the moment someone sees an advert, through to landing on a website or funnel, purchasing a product and ultimately becoming a customer.
You’ll be responsible for helping us build and implement the digital infrastructure that makes our clients’ paid advertising campaigns work.
What you'll be working on
Our core offering is B2C & B2B Acquisition, powered primarily by Meta Ads, with additional activity across Pinterest, TikTok and Google.
You’ll work alongside our strategy and creative team to build and optimise the systems behind our campaigns, including:
Funnels & customer journeys
- Building high-converting funnels for B2C food & drink brands
- Creating landing pages and sales journeys designed specifically around paid traffic
- Mapping customer journeys from advert → landing page → purchase
- Building lead generation and e-commerce funnels
- Implementing upsells, cross-sells and other conversion opportunities
- Setting up automated customer journeys and follow-up sequences
- Continuously testing and improving conversion rates
Paid acquisition
You’ll need a strong understanding of how funnels need to work alongside paid media, particularly:
- Meta Ads – our primary acquisition channel
- TikTok Ads
- Google Ads
- Retargeting campaigns
- Prospecting campaigns
- Audience structure
- Pixel/event tracking
- Conversion tracking
- Attribution
- Campaign landing pages
- Understanding what data is telling us and where the funnel needs improving
You don't necessarily need to be the person managing every ad campaign day-to-day, but you must understand paid acquisition deeply enough to build digital journeys around it.
Websites & technical implementation
This is an important part of the role.
We need someone who is comfortable getting into the technical side of digital projects rather than relying on someone else for every implementation.
You should be confident working with:
- Shopify
- Website integrations
- Meta Pixel & Conversions API
- Google Tag Manager
- Google Analytics / GA4
- DNS records
- Domains
- Tracking codes
- Events and conversions
- Facebook/Meta Business Manager
- Shopify integrations
- Email and automation integrations
- Third-party platforms
- Payment integrations
- Troubleshooting tracking issues
- Checking that everything is firing and recording correctly
You don't need to be a developer — but you do need to be technically confident and comfortable figuring things out.
If a pixel isn't firing, a domain needs verifying, a DNS record needs adding, an event isn't passing correctly or Shopify isn't communicating with another platform, we need you to be the person who can investigate and solve it.
Shopify & automation
A strong understanding of Shopify is highly desirable.
You'll be involved in things such as:
- Shopify store setup and optimisation
- Conversion tracking
- Product/customer journeys
- Shopify automations
- Email integrations
- Abandoned cart journeys
- Post-purchase journeys
- Customer segmentation
- Upsells and cross-sells
- Connecting Shopify with other marketing platforms
- Ensuring the customer journey works seamlessly from advert through to purchase
The type of person we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is:
Commercially minded
You understand that the goal isn't to build a pretty funnel — it's to generate revenue.
Technically capable
You enjoy getting stuck into pixels, DNS, tracking, integrations and platforms and don't panic when something doesn't work first time.
Performance focused
You naturally think in terms of conversion rates, CPA, ROAS, AOV, customer acquisition cost and revenue.
Proactive
We don't want someone who waits to be told exactly what to do. You should be able to look at a project and say:
“This is what needs doing, this is what's currently wrong and this is how I'd fix it.”
Detail-oriented
Tracking and technical implementation need to be accurate. Small mistakes can have a big impact on campaign performance.
A problem solver
You don't need to know the answer to everything — but you need to be comfortable researching, testing and figuring things out.
Fast and organised
We work across multiple food & drink brands, so you'll need to manage several projects and deadlines without things slipping.
Experience we'd love you to have
You'll ideally have experience working with:
- Meta Ads / Meta Business Manager
- Shopify
- Funnels / landing pages
- E-commerce acquisition
- Google Ads
- TikTok Ads
- Google Analytics / GA4
- Google Tag Manager
- Meta Pixel
- Conversion APIs
- DNS / domain management
- Email marketing & automations
- Shopify automations
- Tracking & attribution
- E-commerce websites
Experience working with food & drink, FMCG, DTC or e-commerce brands would be a huge advantage.
What you'll be doing at JamFirst
You'll work closely with our team to take our B2C Acquisition packages from strategy through to implementation.
A typical project could look like:
Strategy → Creative → Meta Ads → Landing Page/Funnel → Tracking → Shopify → Automation → Purchase → Retargeting → Optimisation → Revenue
Your role is to make sure all of those pieces work together.
We're particularly interested in someone who can look at the entire system, rather than working in a silo.
The opportunity
We're looking for someone freelance initially, with the potential for this to become an ongoing relationship as we continue to grow.
You'll work with a range of exciting UK food & drink brands and have the opportunity to work on projects across:
- E-commerce
- Paid acquisition
- Funnels
- Shopify
- Performance marketing
- Conversion optimisation
- Tracking & analytics
- Automation
You'll also be joining a small, ambitious agency where your work will have a direct impact on client revenue and growth.
This role would suit you if...
You’re the person who gets excited when someone says:
“The Meta campaign is live, but the pixel isn't firing properly.”
You know your way around Shopify.
You understand why a landing page needs to be different for paid traffic.
You know that getting someone to click an advert is only the beginning.
And you care about what happens after the click.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

Please send us:
