Viamaster Transport Ltd is a growing and forward-thinking transport and logistics business, and we are looking for an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to join our team.

The Role
As IT Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing Viamaster's IT infrastructure, systems and technology. You will work closely with management and operational teams to ensure our IT systems are secure, reliable and fit for purpose.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the company's IT infrastructure, hardware and software.
- Providing day-to-day IT support to staff across the business.
- Managing user accounts, permissions and access controls.
- Maintaining and monitoring servers, networks, PCs, laptops and mobile devices.
- Managing Microsoft 365 and other business-critical systems.
- Ensuring effective data backup, security and disaster recovery procedures.
- Maintaining appropriate cybersecurity measures and responding to potential threats.
- Managing IT suppliers, software providers and external support partners.
- Overseeing IT purchasing, licensing and asset management.
- Identifying opportunities to improve and automate business processes through technology.
- Supporting the integration and development of transport, fleet and operational systems.
- Maintaining appropriate IT policies, procedures and documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with data protection and other relevant IT requirements.
- Providing IT guidance and training to employees where required.
- Managing IT projects from initial requirements through to implementation.
About You
We are looking for someone who is practical, organised and commercially minded, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of the company's IT function.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in an IT Manager, IT Lead or similar senior IT position.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows and business IT systems.
- Experience managing networks, hardware and software.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity and data protection.
- Experience managing IT suppliers and external service providers.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels.
- A proactive approach and willingness to get involved in both strategic projects and day-to-day support.
- The ability to prioritise effectively within a fast-paced working environment.
Experience within transport, logistics, warehousing or a similar operational environment would be advantageous, although not essential.
