Overview
Kick Start Futures is an innovative alternative education provision created through a partnership between The Edge Alternative Education and Salisbury Football Club.
Our vision is simple:
Every young person deserves the opportunity to rebuild confidence, discover their strengths and create a positive future.
Through exceptional relationships, high-quality education, football and personal development, we provide young people with the opportunity to engage in learning, develop resilience and achieve positive outcomes.
Our provision supports children and young people who require an alternative to mainstream education, including those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), those at risk of exclusion and young people who simply need a different environment in which to thrive.
At Kick Start Futures, relationships come before results because we know that when young people feel safe, valued and understood, they are far more likely to succeed.
The Kick Start Futures Way
Everything we do is built upon five simple principles.
Build Relationships First
We believe positive relationships are the foundation of successful education.
High Expectations with High Support
We believe every young person can achieve when the right support is provided. We maintain ambitious expectations while recognising that every learner's journey is different.
Restorative Practice
Restorative practice is not simply a response to conflict—it underpins everything we do. We use every interaction to build positive relationships, teach responsibility, encourage reflection, help young people understand the impact of their choices and empower them to make positive decisions that strengthen themselves, their relationships and their future.
Positive Futures
Every learner should leave us more confident, more independent and better prepared for adulthood than when they joined us.
One Team
Every member of staff has a responsibility to support one another, communicate openly, celebrate success and work together to achieve the very best outcomes for our learners.
