We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in providing care and assistance to individuals in need. The role involves supporting clients in their home.
Duties:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and toileting
- Support individuals with mobility issues and provide assistance with heavy lifting when required
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviours
- Administer medication following prescribed guidelines
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements
- Perform first aid procedures when necessary
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar care role
- Proficiency in behaviour management techniques
- Experience in medication administration is an advantage
- Familiarity with meal preparation for individuals with specific dietary needs
- Background in working within a mental health unit
