Rotunda College is at the heart of the North Liverpool community, helping adults gain the skills, confidence and qualifications they need to move into work, further learning and new opportunities.
We're looking for a Tutor / Trainee Tutor to join our education team. This role could suit an experienced tutor, someone looking to start a career in education, or a professional with industry experience who wants to move into teaching.
We deliver Functional Skills in Maths, English and Digital Skills, alongside vocational pathways into Teaching Assistant and Health & Social Care careers, plus a range of specialist Level 2 programmes.

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Qualifications
- GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Competent IT and digital skills.
Knowledge and Experience
- Experience supporting people in any environment such as education, community work, customer service, coaching, care, volunteering or employment services.
- Interest in education, learning and skills development.
- Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and equality.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships.
- Good organisational skills and skilled in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Willingness to learn and accept feedback.
Personal Qualities
- Passionate about helping people succeed.

Desirable Criteria
Qualifications
- Teaching qualification (Award in Education & Training, PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent).
- Assessor qualification.
- Level 3 qualification or above in a relevant vocational area.
- ESOL Qualification
Experience which is relevant to this role
- Teaching or training adults.
- Delivering presentations, workshops or group activities.
- Functional Skills delivery.
- Community education experience.
- Internal quality assurance processes.
- ESOL experience
Knowledge which would be useful in this role
- Delivery of funded learning provision.
- RARPA methodology.
- Ofsted and quality assurance requirements.
- Adult learning and community development principles.
