Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and tech-savvy IT Support Apprentice to join our IT team in Stretford. This role is ideal for someone with a basic understanding of IT systems, networks, and hardware who is eager to grow their skills in a dynamic business environment. You’ll be the first point of contact for IT support, helping to resolve technical issues and maintain equipment across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, or in person, ensuring timely and professional resolution within company SLAs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues remotely or on-site.
- Assist with the setup, relocation, and maintenance of workstations and IT equipment.
- Support database maintenance and collaborate with international teams (e.g., Argentina office).
- Maintain and update technical documentation and user guides.
- Participate in QA testing for new databases and software tools.
- Communicate effectively with all departments to understand and resolve IT-related issues.
- Prioritise multiple support requests and escalate critical issues to the IT Manager.
- Follow health and safety protocols during installations and setups.
- Stay up to date with IT trends and attend training sessions as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server (2012–2022), Office 365, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Sage 200 and general IT infrastructure.
- Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation practices.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
