We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident, and personable individual to join our team as a Distillery Tour Guide. The Portsmouth Distillery is an award-winning craft distillery located within the historic Fort Cumberland, producing a range of premium spirits and offering visitors unique tours and tastings.
As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative tours, hosting spirit tastings, and creating memorable experiences for our visitors. You'll share the story of The Portsmouth Distillery, explain our production processes, showcase our award-winning spirits, and bring to life the fascinating history of Fort Cumberland. The role is highly customer-focused and requires someone who is comfortable speaking to groups, enjoys interacting with people, and can deliver exceptional service with enthusiasm and professionalism.
The successful candidate will be friendly, reliable, and confident in a customer-facing environment, with excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality. Previous experience in tourism, events, hospitality, retail, public speaking, or visitor attractions would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided. An interest in spirits, cocktails, local history, or craft production would also be an advantage.
This is a casual, permanent position with shifts primarily during evenings and weekends, alongside occasional opportunities to support private tours and events. In return, you'll become part of a friendly and passionate team, working in one of Portsmouth's most unique visitor attractions.
