Logistics & Inventory Coordinator

General Description:
To assist Operations & take control of Logistics and stock control. Anything coming in and out of the company on a day-to-day basis.
Use of Forklift required, Forklift trained ideal, but training can be arranged for suitable candidate.
Principal Tasks:
1) Deliveries
a) To receive all deliveries into the workshop and inform the office of their arrival so that the items can be distributed accordingly or placed into stock.
b) All items received into KFM, check for damages and quantity to delivery paperwork.
c) Coordinate project related furniture/goods going to site for delivery.
d) Checking, wrapping, labelling, scanning/logging and storing project items into logistics area.
2) Stock control
a) Weekly stock ordering – Timber, stock ironmongery and various consumables.
3) Health and Safety:
a) To follow the H&S guidelines as laid out in the employee handbook.
b) Fire marshal duties required – checking exits, extinguishers etc. on a weekly basis.
4) Maintenance/cleaning
a) Along with the workshop manager, ensure that all machines are kept clean and free of dust and maintained weekly.
b) Maintain a low level of dormant sawdust in the workshop.
c) Ensure that all workshop bins are emptied regular.
5) Site Equipment Protocol - All equipment must be checked and prepared to go to another site on return to workshop and before placing to the right location.
a) Step Ladders / Podiums
· Always ensure Tags are present, if Tag Insert is full then replace with new one prior to loading on the Van. (Add new tag behind current one)
· Clean – Wipe over on return to the workshop.
Secondary Tasks:
To be cover for the delivery driver when not available, clean drivers license required.
To assist the quality control assistant and operations manager in the smooth running of the operations.
Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
