Pharmacy@UHB Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary company of University Hospitals Birmingham, which was established in 2011. We provide a pharmacy service for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB) and Heartlands Hospital Birmingham (BHH).
We provide a service to the out-patients and in-patients, due to be discharged, at both hospitals and operate in a manner akin to a community pharmacy
We are currently recruiting for a Pharmacy Counter Assistant (30 hours a week) to join the team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital site. The role would involve greeting patients; sales of over the counter medicines in the Outpatient Pharmacy; administration of the prescription tracking system and other general administration and stock control roles.
Previous pharmacy experience preferred but not essential - good customer service experience is a must. We offer an excellent environment within which to learn the fundamentals or further develop pharmacy skills, with the possibility of progressing to Pharmacy Dispenser for those which show particular aptitude.
