Job Description:
The EuroTech Group is a group specialising in the design and manufacture of high-end hermetic metal packages and components as well as electronic products including printed circuit boards. We have a vacancy for an Electroplater to join the Plating team based at our Exmouth site. Though we are looking for an experienced Electroplater, we will consider a strong trainee candidate.
Job Description:
· Day to day running of electroplating production lines (soft gold, electroless nickel, nickel sulphamate, hard gold). This includes regular monitoring, adjusting of pH, temperatures, water conductivity, etc, checking of all parameters. Adjust machinery, process equipment, as necessary. Seeing a process through from beginning to end.
· Masking parts by tapes, screws, and bungs.
· Jigging/de-jigging, wiring/de-wiring parts and inspecting them.
· Cleaning and packing the final products.
· Maintaining solutions, including pumping in and out of solutions, chemical additions, new make up’s of solutions.
· Handling hazardous chemicals, making chemical additions which involves lifting chemicals up to 25 litres.
· Laboratory analysis of solutions.
· X-Ray measurements of metal thicknesses; cross sections.
· Physically plating on manual plating lines. Lifting jigs/frames with full load of plating parts.
· Ensuring the cleanliness of the production lines and general production area.
· Following Company procedures and maintain records of processes and results.
Requirements:
· Fast learner. Eager to learn - need to want to understand what is happening and why.
· Manual skills - good with tools, pumps, pallet track, etc.
· This is a hands-on role and will include lifting up to 25 litres of chemicals.
· Mathematical, chemical, and analytical skills.
· Creativity and efficiency
· Comply with all health and safety rules, wearing full PPE when necessary.
· Strong Computer skills.
· Good communication skills.
· Team oriented/team player.
· Enthusiastic and reliable.
· Good attention to detail.
· Multitasking
The team currently work 4 long days rather than a 5 day week however we have a variety of shifts, and the successful applicant would be expected to show flexibility in regards the shifts they can work.
