- Support children in participating in social activities and community outings, ensuring they feel included and confident
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, progress notes, and any incidents or concerns in accordance with organizational policies
- Communicate effectively with children, families, colleagues, and external agencies to ensure cohesive support networks
- Drive safely when transporting children or attending activities outside the home as part of your duties
Skills
- Experience working with children in a childcare or support setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to build trust and foster positive relationships with children and their families
- Ability to follow detailed care plans while adapting to changing needs with flexibility
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping, reporting, and communication purposes
- Valid driving license to facilitate transportation duties when required
- Knowledge of child development principles and safeguarding procedures to ensure a safe environment for all children
