FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Support Worker (Minimum SVQ Level 2) to join our team. In this role, you will provide non-care-related assistance to individuals. You will support people with daily tasks, encouraging their participation in community activities and fostering an inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist with daily tasks: Support individuals with shopping, household tasks, and running errands.
2. Community engagement: Help service users participate in local activities, attend appointments, and engage in social or recreational events.
3. Emotional and social support: Provide companionship and encourage confidence and independence.
4. Promote independence: Encourage individuals to make choices and live as independently as possible.
5. Support planning: Assist in developing and maintaining personalized support plans based on individual needs and goals.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to individual support plans and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- SVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or a relevant qualification.
- Experience working with individuals in a support role is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting others.
Additional Information:
- Shift work may be required, including evenings and weekends.

- Travel within the community may be required, so a valid driver’s license is preferred.
