The successful candidate will be responsible for helping maintain all Aberdeen Sports Village (ASV) facilities to ensure that the entire site runs smoothly, with minimal impact on time lost through breakdowns or equipment failure, maintaining a safe and legal environment (including record keeping) and completing a planned programme of preventative maintenance. We are open to discussing flexibility within the working hours, however the needs of the business must be met.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform repairs within the building including painting, repairs to fixtures and fittings, changing locks and basic joinery and plumbing.
- Conduct routine PPM inspections and keep accurate records.
- Handle maintenance requests from staff.
- Escalate issues to and work effectively with the Management Team.
- Collaborate with external contractors, when required, for specialist repairs.
- Ensure sporting equipment is well maintained and available for use for any events or bookings.
- To be able to work predominantly alone, whilst being part of the wider team environment.
- Always ensure adherence with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience of general building maintenance or repair work
- Having strong technical skills in plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a great attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise tasks in accordance with internal maintenance programme
- Ability to work at heights.
- Computer literate and familiarity with using various software programmes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Some flexibility with working hours to meet the needs of the business.
- A customer focussed approach to work.
- Be in possession of a current, valid UK driving licence.
