THE KINSBOURNE COMMON NURSERY AND PRE-SCHOOL (OPENING TERM TIME ONLY)
Position: Assistant Early Years Practitioner (Level 2/3 early years qualification preferred)
Responsible to: Leader (Deborah Campbell)
Purpose of the job: To provide a safe and caring environment for pre-school children following the legal requirements within the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage guidelines.
Hours: Term time setting
Mon-Thurs 8:30-3:45
Fri-8:30-12:30
Main Duties:
- To be a member of a team, communicating and working together to provide an environment in which children's development is fostered and in which good relationships grow
- To ensure confidentiality at all times
- To work from and ensure that duties are carried out using the Staff Rota
- To complete an online Learning Journal for each assigned keyworker child linking them to the seven areas of learning as set by the EYFS.
- To attend staff meetings, in-service training and attend training courses where required
- To assist with planning, preparing and reviewing activities to meet the needs of all children
- To assist in the preparation and cleaning up of toys and activities adhering to health and safety guidelines
- To adhere at all times to the settings policies and procedures
- To promptly inform the Manager/Leader of any concerns, accidents/incidents
- To have read and understood the personally assigned Safeguarding children procedure
- To always act in a professional manner and encourage positive behaviour
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
