THE KINSBOURNE COMMON NURSERY AND PRE-SCHOOL (OPENING TERM TIME ONLY)
Position: Assistant Early Years Practitioner (Level 2/3 early years qualification preferred)
Responsible to: Leader (Deborah Campbell)
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team.

Purpose of the job: To provide a safe and caring environment for pre-school children, supporting their learning and development while ensuring compliance with the statutory requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
Hours: Term time setting
Mon-Thurs 8:30-3:45
Fri-8:30-12:30
Main Duties:
- Work as an effective member of the team, communicating and collaborating with colleagues to create a nurturing environment that supports children's development and fosters positive relationships.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times in relation to children, families, and staff.
- Follow the staff rota and ensure all allocated duties are carried out effectively.
- Complete and maintain online Learning Journals for assigned key children, linking observations and assessments to the seven areas of learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Attend staff meetings, in-service training sessions, and external training courses as required.
- Assist with the planning, preparation, delivery, and evaluation of activities that meet the individual needs of all children.
- Support the preparation, organisation, and cleaning of toys, equipment, and activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Adhere to all setting policies and procedures at all times.
- Promptly report any concerns, accidents, incidents, or safeguarding issues to the Manager or Room Leader.
- Read, understand, and follow the setting's safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Conduct yourself professionally at all times and promote positive behaviour through appropriate role modelling and interaction with children.
- Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, caring, and stimulating environment that supports children's learning and development.
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
