This is an exciting opportunity to join our exceptional Bright Futures Team at our brand-new specialist school in Salford.
Building on the success of our two highly regarded specialist schools in St Helens and Lymm, we are expanding our high-quality educational offer across the North West.
Our mission is to provide a pupil-centred, personalised education for pupils aged 5-19 with Autism, learning disabilities, and other complex needs. We provide a calm, nurturing and safe environment where every child feels valued, supported and a true sense of belonging.

The Role
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference and improving outcomes for all pupils.
As Head of Pupil Engagement, you will play a key strategic and operational role in promoting a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. You will:

Lead the development, monitoring and continuous improvement of pastoral and behavioural support across the school

Oversee attendance, behaviour and pupil welfare, using data to inform actions and improvements

Promote pupil leadership, pupil voice and opportunities that prepare young people for adulthood and future employment

Implement and promote community and employer engagement activities and initiatives across the school, through effective partnerships with local organisations and community groups
About You
We are looking for someone who:

Has experience supporting children and young people with special educational needs

Demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

Can build effective and lasting relationships with pupils, families, colleagues and external professionals

Is resilient, reflective and passionate about making a difference

Remains calm and professional in challenging situations

Is committed to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
You must demonstrate that you meet all of the essential experience, knowledge and personal qualities criteria on the person specification, using practical examples.

Please note: this role is term-time only and the salary is as stated (i.e. not pro rata). Annual leave aligns with school closure periods and public holidays.
