The role
We are looking for a Researcher & Communications Coordinator to join the team. This is a dual-focus role: the majority of your time will be spent on research (identifying new restaurant and bar openings through design publications, social media, blogs, and international press), with about 10 hours a week dedicated to communications support, including newsletters, partner emails, and social media.
You will be very organised, a strong writer, comfortable managing your own workload and have superb attention to detail. You will also be a natural collaborator, able to work closely with a small team and step up independently when needed.

- Researching online publications, social media, design blogs, and international media to identify new restaurant and bar openings
- Contacting designers and venues (both in the UK and internationally) and maintaining accurate records in a central database
- Drafting and scheduling social media content across Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Writing and coordinating newsletters and partner communications
- Supporting the planning and delivery of communications schedules
- Assisting with the coordination of events
Essential skills
- Strong research skills; thorough, accurate, and able to work across multiple sources
- Excellent written English (you will be writing copy that goes out under the RBDA brand)
- Confident communicator, professional in tone across email and written correspondence
- Good working knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)
- Experience with Google Drive
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage your own tasks
- A genuine interest in design, architecture, or the food and beverage industry
Advantageous
- Experience with email marketing platforms (Brevo, Campaign Monitor, or similar)
- Experience with Adobe InDesign
- Experience with social media scheduling tools (Later, or similar)
- Additional languages (written and verbal)
- Background in a communications, editorial, or research-related role
