Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen
- Supporting the organisation of stock and ingredients to ensure efficient workflow
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Ensuring all health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times during daily operations
- Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of food
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality environment is desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food preparation and cooking processes is advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen safety and hygiene standards preferred
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills within a fast-paced environment
