The Tomato Lounge is a vibrant and upcoming café and bar on Paris Street in Exeter, and we are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Full-Time and Part-Time Bar Person's to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hospitality, customer service and working in a lively venue with a welcoming atmosphere.
During daytime shifts, you will help serve customers across our café and bar offer, including food, hot drinks and alcoholic drinks. Evening shifts will be more bar-focused, with the venue open until late and a livelier atmosphere that may include live music and events.
Key responsibilities:
· Serve customers in a friendly, professional and efficient way.
· Prepare and serve hot drinks, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks.
· Support light food service during daytime shifts.
· Take orders and process cash and card payments accurately.
· Keep the bar, café area and customer spaces clean, safe and well presented.
· Check identification where required and follow licensing procedures.
· Help restock fridges, shelves, glassware and bar supplies during service.
· Work as part of a team during busy evenings, events and live music nights.
About you:
· Previous bar, café or hospitality experience is helpful, but the right attitude is most important.
· Confident speaking with customers and creating a positive atmosphere.
· Able to work evenings, weekends and late finishes when required.
· Reliable, punctual and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
· A door supervisor licence would be beneficial, but is not essential.
· Must have the right to work in the UK.
