Office Administrator
Role Purpose
We are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Office Administrator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their administrative and business skills in a busy working environment.
You will support the day-to-day running of the office, helping to keep administrative tasks, records, suppliers and general office operations organised and running smoothly.
Full training and support will be provided to the right candidate. This role is available on a full or part time basis, depending on the successful candidate’s availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the office.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to emails in a professional and friendly manner.
- Provide administrative support to field operatives and management.
- Help prepare quotations, reports and documentation relating to building surveys.
- Assist with weekly payroll preparation.
- Maintain accurate company records and databases.
- Organise meetings, appointments and travel arrangements when required.
- Order and monitor office supplies and stationery.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors and service providers.
- Assist with processing invoices, expenses and purchase orders.
- Maintain electronic filing systems and company documentation.
- Assist with maintaining records of contracts, licences and service agreements.
- Help manage company vehicle records and administration.
- Maintain confidentiality when dealing with company and client information.
- Provide general administrative support to the wider team as required.
- Liaising with business owner throughout the day to assign jobs
About You
This is an entry-level position, so previous office administration experience is not essential. We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, takes pride in their work and has a positive attitude.
You should have:
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A friendly and professional telephone manner.
- Basic computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
- The ability to learn new systems and software.
- The ability to manage several tasks and organise your workload.
- A reliable, positive and professional approach.
Desirable, But Not Essential
- Previous experience in an office, administration or customer service role.
- Experience using Microsoft 365.
- Experience with Sage or another accounting system.
- Experience or interest in the construction, plumbing or building industry.
- A basic understanding of office administration.

Pay: £25,420.00-£28,000.00 per year
