To carry out dispensing and checking duties under the authorisation of a qualified pharmacist and to supervise the work of other members of staff (where applicable).
Qualifications:
NVQ3 Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
Qualified Dispenser or Accredited Checking Technician in the UK.
Registered with Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain or General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Main Tasks
- To provide a courteous, confidential and professional service to all pharmacy customers.
- To ensure all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and in a timely manner.
- To check prescriptions previously clinically assessed by a pharmacist and when not involved in the dispensing process itself.
- To support the provision of Pharmacy services both NHS and Private.
- To maintain a high standard of appearance of the pharmacy.
- To monitor stock levels and adapt orders appropriately.
- To carry out dispensary administrative tasks, where applicable.
- To supervise the work of others and delegate tasks and roles, as applicable.
- ·To adhere to Company Standard Operating Procedures and policies, Health and Safety regulations and legal and ethical requirements affecting pharmacy.
- ·Actively provide healthy living advice at every opportunity.
- Any other Pharmacy Tasks as required.
