Salary: £13 per hour to £17 per hour (depending on experience)
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Gardener to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining gardens and outdoor spaces to a high standard, ensuring they remain attractive, healthy, and well-presented throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mowing lawns and maintaining grassed areas
- Planting, pruning, and caring for flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Weeding and general garden maintenance
- Hedge trimming and border upkeep
- Tree and shrub maintenance, including chainsaw work where required
- Applying herbicides and weed control treatments safely and effectively
- Watering plants and monitoring plant health
- Operating and maintaining gardening equipment safely
- Keeping outdoor areas clean, tidy, and free from debris
Requirements:
- Previous gardening or landscaping experience preferred
- Good knowledge of plants, shrubs, and seasonal garden care
- Valid chainsaw certification (NPTC/LANTRA or equivalent)
- Valid weed spraying certification (PA1 and PA6 or equivalent)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and a positive work ethic
