Duties
- Perform comprehensive MOT tests on a variety of vehicles to ensure compliance with legal safety standards
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues accurately using hand tools and power tools
- Carry out repairs, replacements, and servicing of vehicle components such as brakes, engines, suspension systems, and exhausts
- Use heavy lifting equipment safely to handle vehicle parts and assemblies during maintenance procedures
- Maintain detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and services performed for each vehicle
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently while adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized workshop environment to promote safety and productivity
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for various repair tasks
- Experience with heavy lifting equipment and techniques to handle vehicle parts safely
