Ground Maintenance Operative – SJ Gardner LTD
We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Ground Maintenance Operative to join our growing team.
What to expect:
- General garden and grounds maintenance across residential and commercial sites
- Grass cutting and lawn care
- Hedge trimming and shrub maintenance
- Working with a range of power tools and machinery
- General labouring duties
- Pruning and other horticultural tasks
What we are looking for:
We are seeking someone who:
- Has at least 1-2 year’s experience in the grounds maintenance or landscaping industry
- Is competent and confident in their ability
- Takes pride in their work with strong attention to detail
- Has a positive and professional attitude
- Is self-motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic
- Is able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic plant identification knowledge

Previous experience is essential, as is a genuine interest in the industry. Full support and ongoing training will be provided.
Desirable (but not essential):
- PA1 & PA6 – Safe use and application of pesticides
- CS30 & CS31 – Cross-cutting and small tree felling
- Experience towing trailers across various vehicles
- Experience in turf care
Pay: From £13.75 per hour
