Deputy Manager - Lead. Inspire. Make a Difference.
This isn't just another Deputy Manager role.
Some people look for an easy service. We're looking for someone who wants to build an exceptional one.
At WCL we're investing in people, leadership, and quality because we believe the people we support deserve nothing less. Our service supports individuals with highly complex needs, including behaviours of distress, autism, learning disabilities, and mental health needs. Every day is different, every person is unique, and every decision you make has the potential to change someone's life.
If you're someone who thrives on challenge, believes in person-centred care and wants to be part of a leadership team that's driving real change, we'd love to hear from you.
What makes us different?
We're not standing still.
We've recently strengthened our leadership structure, invested in bespoke leadership development for our managers.
We believe in empowering our leaders - not simply asking them to manage.
You'll work alongside an experienced Registered Manager, Head of Complex Care and Clinical Quality Manager to lead positive and passionate change.
The Opportunity
As Deputy Manager, you'll be a visible leader within a large and diverse staff team, supporting colleagues to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care for people with complex needs.
You'll help shape culture, develop people, improve quality and ensure every individual is supported to live the life they choose.
You'll have the opportunity to:
-
Lead and inspire a large team.
-
Champion Positive Behaviour Support and least restrictive practice.
-
Coach and develop staff to achieve their full potential.
-
Drive quality improvement and clinical excellence.
-
Be part of safeguarding, governance and service development.
-
Work closely with the Senior leaders to identify, plan and drive positive changes.
-
Influence the future of the service rather than simply maintaining it.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for a leader - not just a manager.
Someone who:
-
Leads with compassion and integrity.
-
Isn't afraid of complexity.
-
Sees behaviour as communication.
-
Values teamwork and continuous learning.
-
Can motivate others during both the good days and the difficult ones.
-
Wants to grow professionally within a progressive organisation.
Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health or complex behaviours is highly desirable.
Why join WCL?
Because you'll be joining a provider that's genuinely investing in the future.
A supportive and approachable senior leadership team.
Ongoing leadership and professional development.
A culture built around learning, reflection and continuous improvement.
Opportunities to influence how services are delivered.
The chance to make a lasting difference to people's lives every single day.
Are you ready for your next challenge?
If you're looking for a role where you'll be trusted, valued, and empowered to lead - not simply fill a position - we'd love to hear from you.
Bring your passion!
Bring your ideas!
Bring your leadership!
Together, we'll continue building a service where people don't just receive care - they thrive.
