The Role
As a Paraplanner, you'll work closely with Financial Planners to deliver high-quality, compliant financial advice. You'll play a key role in researching financial solutions, preparing client recommendations and producing detailed reports that help clients achieve their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed client reports and suitability letters in line with FCA and regulatory requirements.
- Analyse client information to support the development of tailored financial planning strategies.
- Conduct research on investments, pensions and financial products to identify suitable recommendations.
- Assist Financial Planners in developing comprehensive financial plans.
- Maintain accurate client records and update internal systems.
- Liaise with Advisers and Administrators to ensure an efficient and seamless client journey.
- Support the ongoing review of client portfolios and financial plans.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help enhance internal processes.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately, compliantly and within agreed timescales.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Previous experience working as a Paraplanner within Financial Planning or Wealth Management.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, investments and related financial products.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret client information and recommend suitable solutions.
- Experience preparing suitability reports and client documentation.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Confidence using financial planning software and Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work collaboratively, manage deadlines and prioritise a varied workload.
- A Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or working towards it) would be advantageous.
