Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tyre Fitter / Wheel Aligner to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting tyres, performing wheel alignments, and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Remove and fit tyres using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely
- Conduct wheel alignments to manufacturer specifications, ensuring optimal vehicle handling and tyre longevity
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks related to tyres and suspension components
- Use specialised equipment to diagnose wheel alignment issues and implement corrective measures
- Assist customers by explaining services, addressing queries, and providing excellent customer service
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Conduct heavy lifting of tyres and wheels, often requiring physical strength and proper technique
- Perform routine inspections of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge or experience in automotive repair is highly desirable
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised wheel alignment equipment
- Previous experience in tyre fitting or wheel alignment is advantageous but not essential
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Physical fitness with the ability to perform heavy lifting regularly
- Attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure precise work standards
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
