Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient individual to join our team as a Barista/ Waitress/waiter. This versatile role involves preparing and serving beverages and food, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality service and creating a positive experience for guests. Previous experience in food and beverage service is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, cocktails, and soft drinks, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, providing attentive service to customers in person and via any ordering systems.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system and manage payments securely.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling light snacks or organising ingredients for service.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including bar counters, tables, and utensils, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, answering questions about menu items and making recommendations when appropriate.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures to maintain hygiene at all times.
- Previous barista experience is desirable, with familiarity in preparing coffee-based drinks efficiently.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
- Basic food preparation skills to assist with light kitchen tasks when required.
- Good numerical skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
