Are you finishing school or college and looking for an exciting career where you can earn a salary while studying for a degree?
At BAILEYGOMM, we're offering the opportunity to become a Degree Apprentice Building Services Design Engineer. You'll work alongside experienced engineers on real projects from day one, while studying towards a fully funded degree, giving you the perfect balance of practical experience and academic learning.
You'll be joining a friendly, supportive team where you'll receive one-to-one mentoring and develop the skills needed to become a Chartered Building Services Eengineer.
Please note: This is primarily an office-based role, with 4 days per week in our Ware office and 1 day per week attending university.
About BAILEYGOMM
BAILEYGOMM is an established Building Services Engineering Consultancy working on a wide variety of exciting projects across multiple sectors throughout the UK.
As a smaller consultancy, you'll gain hands-on experience from the very beginning and have the opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers across both Mechanical and Electrical Building Services design.
No two days are the same, and you'll quickly become a valued member of the team.
What you'll be doing
As your knowledge and confidence grow, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Learn how to design heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting and electrical systems for a wide range of buildings.
- Assist experienced engineers in developing designs for real client projects.
- Learn to use industry-leading software including AutoCAD, Revit and specialist engineering design packages.
- Help prepare engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Learn how engineers calculate heating, cooling, ventilation and electrical requirements.
- Support the team in developing sustainable and energy-efficient building solutions.
- Attend site visits to survey existing buildings and see projects during construction.
- Attend project meetings with architects, structural engineers and contractors.
- Build your technical knowledge while developing valuable professional and communication skills.
No previous engineering experience is required—we'll provide the training and support you need throughout your apprenticeship.
