Duties
- Conduct comprehensive research on public policies, governance frameworks, and health-related issues using diverse data sources.
- Utilize statistical software such as Stata, SPSS, SAS, or R to analyze complex datasets related to public health and policy outcomes.
- Develop and maintain databases using SQL, Python, or other programming tools to streamline data collection and analysis processes.
- Interpret quantitative and qualitative data to generate actionable insights that support policy development and governance improvements.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and policy briefs that clearly communicate findings to stakeholders at various levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design research studies, implement data collection strategies, and ensure methodological rigor.
- Stay current on emerging trends in public health research, data analysis techniques, and governance practices to continuously enhance analytical approaches.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in clinical research or public health research environments with a strong foundation in data analysis.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as Stata, SPSS, SAS or similar tools; experience with R, Python, or SQL is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of public health principles and governance structures.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with data management practices and programming languages used for data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting findings clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Data Science, Statistics, Social Sciences or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
