Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Security Control Room Operative to work exclusively night shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, ensuring the safety and security of premises during overnight hours. This role requires a vigilant and proactive individual with a strong understanding of surveillance procedures and report writing. The position offers an excellent opportunity for those with prior security experience to contribute to a safe environment while working during quiet, night-time hours.
Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV and other security surveillance systems continuously throughout the night shift.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises as required, ensuring all areas are secure.
- Respond promptly to any security breaches or incidents, following established protocols.
- Maintain detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts.
- Liaise with emergency services if necessary, providing clear communication and assistance.
- Conduct first aid if required, providing immediate assistance until professional help arrives.
- Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults or issues immediately.
- Follow company policies and procedures to uphold high standards of security and safety.
Experience
- Proven experience in a security control room environment or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to document incidents clearly and accurately.
- First aid certification is highly desirable, with the ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Ability to remain alert and vigilant during long night shifts, maintaining focus at all times.
- Prior experience working during night hours is preferred but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.
