Registered Manager- Residential Children's Home
Contract- Full Time/Permanent Salary: £33,000- £45,000 ( Negotiable)
We are currently seeking for an experienced, competent, qualified Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager who is ready to step up to a Registered Manager role to join our services based in Corby, Northamptonshire.
The Company
T&J Victorious Ltd provides personalized provisions for young people between 10 and 17 years, with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties (EBD). We will achieve this by working with the young person alongside local authorities across the country. REPORTING to: the Responsible Individual /Director
Essential
At least 2 years experience in residential childcare plus Level 3 Children & Young People Award or equivalent
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Care ( in process of doing it or willing to do it)
Ability to remain calm under pressure, lead and manage shifts
Experience of working within and leading a team
Have a clear passion and desire to support children and young people
Able to work a combination of days, evenings, nights, and weekends (as necessary)
Willing and able to be part of Management on call system.
Continuing professional development to support the needs of our young people
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Main duties:
-To lead the home as per Statement of Purpose.
-To manage monies for activities.
-To ensure the home is safe, monitor and lead staff to carry out their duties.
-To work with the young people in a caring and nurturing manner developing relationships based on trust, confidence and understanding.
-To plan with, join in with and encourage all young people in educational, recreational, occupational and social activities.
-To work as part of a team and provide support and encouragement for colleagues as well as the young people and help build a strong child-focused team.
-To prepare, implement and review programmes designed to aid a young person’s development and personalise their care plans.
-To induct newly admitted young people
-To liaise effectively with outside partners such as parents, placing agencies, other professionals as necessary, including attendance at reviews and home visits where appropriate.
-To ensure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures
-To communicate effectively with the team regarding the plans for the day
-To review the young people's care plans and other associated documentation
-To attend staff meetings and to act as an advocate for the young person .
-Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing residential homes.
-Manage staff recruitment, training programmes, performance appraisals, and professional development initiatives.

Experience
-Proven management experience within children's home environments.
-At least 2 years experience in residential childcare environment.
-Experience in developing and implementing personalised care plans.
-Strong leadership skills with supervising experience in a residential children's home or equivalent.
