Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children and families in need of safeguarding, ensuring their welfare and protection.
- Undertake assessments, care planning, and interventions in line with statutory duties and best practice standards.
- Work closely with children, families, and multi-agency professionals to deliver child-centered safeguarding services.
- Prepare high-quality reports for child protection conferences, court proceedings, and Looked After Children (LAC) reviews.
- Respond to referrals, conduct home visits, and maintain accurate and up-to-date case records.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration.
- Previous experience working within a Locality or Child Protection Safeguarding Team.
- Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work under pressure.
- Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months (or on the update service).
