Willow Services is an established independent plumbing and heating business working throughout Peterborough, Cambridge and the surrounding areas.
We're growing and are looking for an experienced Gas Safe Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our team.

The Role
This is a varied position, so you won't be doing the same thing day after day.
Your work will include:
- Boiler installations
- Boiler servicing, repairs and fault-finding
- Heating system upgrades
- Heating controls
- Radiator installation and replacement
- Hot water cylinders
- General plumbing
- Leak investigation and repairs
- Tap and sanitaryware replacement
- Gas safety and compliance work
One day you could be completing a boiler installation or heating upgrade; the next you might be diagnosing a fault, replacing a cylinder or carrying out general plumbing repairs.
You'll work across a mixture of domestic and commercial properties, primarily throughout the PE and CB postcode areas.
About You
We're looking for someone who is confident working independently, takes pride in their workmanship and can make sensible decisions on site.
You'll need:
- Current domestic gas qualifications (Desired)
- Gas Safe qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years' relevant plumbing and heating experience
- Strong practical plumbing knowledge
- Experience with boiler installations, servicing, repairs and fault-finding
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
- Ability to complete a DBS check
- Good understanding of relevant Health & Safety requirements
You'll also need to be good with people.
Our engineers represent Willow Services every time they walk through a customer's door. Being friendly, courteous and able to explain what's happening without drowning the customer in technical jargon is important to us.
Additional Qualifications
We'd particularly like to hear from you if you also have any of the following:
- OFTEC qualifications
- Oil boiler experience
- Unvented hot water qualification
- City & Guilds/NVQ plumbing qualifications
- Commercial plumbing or heating experience
These are advantageous rather than essential.
